God loves us by encouraging the pattern of rest, and in this we are invited to express rest in multiple ways. The evening invited people to rest in the creativity we are blessed with. being made in god’s image.
As an artist and educator I am passionate about encouraging all people to see creative expression as a reflection of God’s love and grace to us. Art is a gift, placed before us, whether it is an enjoyment of experience, participation or practice, vocation or play.
Art reflects our times of sorrow and rejoicing, it gives meaning beyond the mundane and records the substance of life in all its facets and layers.
Recently I was invited to run a workshop for a group at my a local Church. I titled it, “Creative Rest” and it was a lovely relaxed, fun evening where participants explored some artmaking together. I am keen to offer a range of these kinds of experiences.
